I am a human rights practitioner with over twelve years of experience advancing gender equality, children’s rights, and disability inclusion in Sierra Leone. I currently serve as Director of Gender and Children’s Affairs at the Human Rights Commission of Sierra Leone, where I provide strategic leadership on monitoring, policy advocacy, treaty-body reporting, and national accountability.
My work is grounded in evidence and focused on translating research into practical policy change. I led the drafting of the Commission’s 2026 Alternative Reports to the Committee on the Rights of the Child and the African Committee of Experts on the Rights and Welfare of the Child, and I have contributed to Sierra Leone’s Universal Periodic Review reporting. I have also helped lead a UNFPA-supported program to eliminate Female Genital Mutilation and contributed to national work on climate change and human rights.
I hold an MSc in Advanced Child Protection Studies from the University of Birmingham and serve on the boards of several organizations supporting children, girls, and vulnerable communities. I am committed to evidence-based, participatory approaches that place women and children at the center of the policies that shape their lives.
